PQNK, Inc. is seeking a Intermediate designer /Job Captain with a minimum of 3 years of full-time office experience and at least a 4-year bachelor's degree in Architecture . The ideal candidate is not only technically skilled but also compassionate, enthusiastic, and team-oriented , with strong interpersonal skills and integrity. Since 2006, PQNK has been a full-service architectural firm where a collaborative team proactively creates meaningful architecture through a rigorous methodology. Our diverse portfolio includes multifamily housing, healthcare facilities, cultural venues, industrial projects, retail/food & beverage spaces, and public-sector projects. Responsibilities Assist with or lead coordination of all phases of a project, from schematic design through construction administration. Develop design solutions, prepare detailed construction drawings, and ensure accuracy and consistency across project deliverables. Oversee consultant coordination and manage responses to plan check comments. Maintain drawing standards, digital file organization, and ensure CAD/Revit models meet firm protocols. Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members to resolve issues and maintain project schedules. Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support field coordination to ensure design intent is executed. Research applicable building codes and ensure design compliance with accessibility, life safety, and zoning requirements. Requirements Minimum 3 years of full-time architectural office experience Bachelor's degree in Architecture (minimum 4 years) Legal working status in the U.S. Proficiency in CAD; Revit and 3D modeling software experience preferred.
