The position requires bringing approved or denied plans to the Project Manager's attention and assisting in obtaining necessary design files. Key responsibilities include designing and training for both commercial and multi-family projects, learning AutoCAD and SprinkCad, conducting site surveys for accurate sprinkler designs, and attending project-related meetings for design coordination. The role demands flexibility to work full-time on design tasks as needed. Design code and AHJ compliant systems utilizing NFPA 13, 13R, 14, 20, and 24 as applicable, Utilizing AutoCAD and SprinkCAD programs.
Direct Supervisor:
Multi-Family and Commercial Department Manager Coordinate project designs and permitting directly to Project Manager Project Manager will provide and obtain necessary design files Approved Plans/Denied plans to be brought to Project Manager's attention as they occur.
Engineer Responsibilities:
Identify, track, manage, resolve, and communicate project issues during design process Attends Department, Project Specific, and Coordination Meetings as needed Communicate design questions between superintendents and field personnel as needed. List material consistent with the approved plan as requested Provide accurate timelines with current projects as requested via email on a weekly basis. Accurate timelines provide Project Manager and Department Manager/Director feedback and allow us to give accurate timelines consistent within the customer desires. Any other tasks deemed necessary by
