Site surveys, permit/construction plan drafting, design translation and project coordinationAbout the Role Gilmans Kitchens and Baths has been a trusted leader in residential remodel for over 40 years. We are seeking a detail-oriented, technical Drafter to turn custom design concepts into seamless, permit-ready construction realities. In this critical role, you will bridge the gap between our Sales Designers, Project Managers, field crews, and clients—taking projects from field measurements to final construction packages. Key Responsibilities Drafting /
Plan Sets :
Create complete, permit-ready construction documents, working drawings, and detail sheets using Chief Architect, AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
Design Translation:
Interpret 20/20 Design (Cyncly) layouts from sales designers and convert them into precise, actionable construction plans.
On-Site Surveys:
Perform accurate field measurements and document existing job site conditions (mileage reimbursed).
Cross-Team Coordination:
Collaborate daily with Showroom Designers, Construction Supervisors, Project Managers, and field labor to ensure smooth execution. Scope /
Pricing Packages:
Compile comprehensive Scopes of Work, pricing breakdowns, and job documentation for estimating and field delivery.
Multi-Project Workflow:
Manage and track 2 to 10 active, time-sensitive projects simultaneously with precision and efficiency.
What You Bring Experience:
5+ years in residential design / construction (kitchen and bath specialization preferred).
Technical Software:
Proficiency in Chief Architect, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, MS Office, and Google Workspace. 20/20
Design Expertise:
Proven ability to interpret and work with 20/20 Design / Cyncly software.
Field Precision:
Hands-on competency in site surveys and exact field measurements.
Core Skills:
Strong organizational ability, proactive problem-solving, and clear cross-functional communication under deadlines.
