(Garg) is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Structural Designer to join our team in Connecticut or New Jersey. Founded in 1990, Garg is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm specializing in railroad and transit projects. Headquartered in Rocky Hill, CT with an office in Princeton, NJ, Garg currently employs over 100 employees, mainly working on federal and state projects including some of the most high-profile transportation projects in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Why Join Garg Competitive salary and benefits, including performance-based bonuses and 401(k) match Collaborate on some of the largest transportation projects in the Northeast Direct access to upper management and leadership Opportunities for advancement and professional development Key Responsibilities Lead the design and analysis of structural components and systems for bridges and transportation infrastructure Conduct complex load rating analysis and structural evaluations Prepare contract drawings, specifications, and detailed engineering calculations Perform site inspections and assessments for new and rehabilitative design Coordinate design efforts with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies Review project plans for compliance with applicable standards and specifications Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across project phases Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering EIT certification required; PE license strongly preferred Minimum 5 - 10 years of structural design experience, including bridge design and load rating analysis Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD, CSiBridge) and CAD platforms (AutoCAD, MicroStation) Experience with CTDOT, NJDOT, or NYSDOT design standards preferred Strong knowledge of AASHTO, AREMA, and other applicable codes Excellent technical writing, communication, and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, detailed, and code-compliant workCompensationBenefits Competitive Salary:
