Civil CAD Designer Draftsperson

Job Description

Transition Engineering Surveying (TES) is pleased to announce a job opening for a Civil CAD Designer/Draftsperson In this role you will perform a range of tasks requiring general knowledge of engineering technologies utilizing CAD and other drafting tools.
Job Responsibilities :
  • CAD draft from conventionally collected survey field data
  • Daily processing of survey data, including evaluation and accuracy and sufficiency
  • Generate surfaces using 3D polylines and points
  • Prepare various land survey drafts for various clients
  • Perform deeds research, deed plotting, and map checks
  • Provide office support, performing computations of base files
  • Ensure schedules and productivity objectives are achieved
  • Work in the field as needed
Required Attributes:
  • Software experience: AutoCAD Civil3D, Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in technical math, including geometry and trigonometry
  • Ability to read, interpret and draft plans, profiles, cross sections and details
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task assigned projects, and work with minimal supervision
  • Capable of fieldwork and manual labor
  • Land Surveying experience
  • Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills
  • Team player attitude; Desire to learn and grow in the surveyor profession
  • High school/GED
  • Valid driver's license

The employee may need to move and lift field equipment and tools as well as walk long distances and stand for extended periods of time. This position is performed in outside weather conditions. The Survey CAD Technician will report directly to president of the company or the project manager. The ideal candidate will meet these requirements and perform under accepted surveying practices and principles.
