Job Description

Summary Wallace Montgomery has an immediate opening in our Site Development department. Due to the variety of projects in our portfolio, WM is looking for a candidate that comes with a background in engineering, design, or drafting. This position is flexible to be based out of either our Newark, DE office or Dover, DE office. Essential Functions Prepare and review engineering drawings, studies, and reports in compliance with applicable standards. Perform CADD drafting. Prepare 3D models of site grading using Civil 3D. Independently prepare design documents and calculations. Prepare earthwork and other quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. Coordinate with other disciplines and subconsultants. Research state and county records, including plats, deeds, and related documents. Field work as team member for inspections, locate utilities, traffic counts, various topo items, etc. Participate in required training. Maintain accurate records of daily activities. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental, Drafting, or a related field. Professional Engineer registration preferred but not required. Five years or more of relevant design experience required for Design Engineer. Proficiency in CADD software, engineering analysis software, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills. Ability to build and develop organizational relationships.
