Job Title:
Designer Job Description Support the engineering team by creating and maintaining 2D/3D models, production drawings, and design documentation for mechanical components and assemblies. This role offers hands-on design work, project ownership, and the opportunity to support new product development in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Create and update 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Develop production drawings for sheet metal, plastic, and mechanical components. Revise existing designs and documentation to support engineering changes. Prepare accurate manufacturing documentation and drawing packages. Support product development through component and assembly design. Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability. Apply drafting standards and GD&T principles where applicable. Manage assigned projects and meet design deadlines. Essential Skills Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and mechanical design. Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and production drawings. 0-2 years of experience in a CAD or mechanical design role. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Drafting, or a related field. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
