The position of AutoCad Designer is the entry-level position within Avalon Engineering with opportunity for advancement. Avalon offers a competitive full benefits package to qualified employees that include: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Short and Long Term Disability 401K Retirement Plan Personal Leave Training and Development Opportunities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Design residential and industrial subdivisions, commercial parks, shopping centers, marinas, roadways, utility networks, etc. CADD work will focus on land development, public works, and transportation, including roadway plan and profiles, water resources, drainage design, sanitary sewer design, and grading earthwork. Develop complete plan sets for construction. Perform mathematical and geometrical computations. Create scaled engineering drawings using Auto Cad/Civil 3D. Create detailed design drawings and related specifications using surveys and conceptual layouts. Coordinate with the project team for submittals to various regulatory agencies. Perform other related duties as requested to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a civil engineering CAD operator. Associate's degree in civil engineering technology (preferred but not mandatory) Working knowledge of AutoCad /Civil 3D. Individuals must possess strong technical abilities, and an understanding of engineering. Ability to interact with clients and regulatory agencies. Self-motivated, and able to work both individually and as a team member. Valid Florida driver's license required within 30 days of hire date.

Pay:

$21.63 - $24.04 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
