AutoCAD Drafter

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD drafter to generate construction-ready documents and coordinate technical and operational workflows. In this role, you will meet with designers and clients to discuss the buildable aspects of designs and help convert those designs into detailed construction documents. You will also assist in architectural coordination and oversee inventory workflows in warehouse environments when applicable. Ideal candidates possess the following experience:

• 3+ years of experience working with AutoCAD.
• Understanding of residential construction techniques.
• Basic residential code knowledge.
• Knowledge of 20/20 Design Software
• Helpful but not necessary.
• Familiarity with Chief Architect software or similar architectural tools
• Preferred.
• Experience in warehouse management, including material handling and inventory control
• Preferred.
• Willingness to learn and grow with a company that is evolving.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with designers to discuss design intent and implementation strategies.
• Perform on-site verification of as-built conditions with accuracy.
• Detail design projects from individual rooms to full-scale new builds.
• Develop architectural layouts using Chief Architect or AutoCAD, coordinating with other disciplines.
• Present rough design drafts for client and stakeholder approval.
• Ensure all designs comply with building codes and regulations, researching codes when needed.
• Generate and manage full sets of construction documents.
• Verify that specifications meet practical and project needs.
• Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure materials and schedules align with drawings.
• Maintain and organize material lists and drawing archives for warehouse reference.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in architectural studies, engineering, or related field
• Preferred
• Previous experience as an AutoCAD drafter or architectural technician.
• Knowledge of Chief Architect software
• Preferred.
• Experience in warehouse or inventory management systems
• Preferred.
• Strong technical design skills with a good aesthetic sense.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Understanding of residential building codes and construction methods.
