full-time Abacoa Executive Solutions is currently recruiting a CAD Designer for their client, a luxury residential designer, in Port Saint Lucie, FL. Position Summary We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer with 2-10 years of experience to join a luxury residential design team. This role will support the design and execution of high-end home renovation projects by producing accurate construction drawings, detailed millwork packages, space plans, and interior design documentation. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of interior architecture, residential construction methods, and design detailing, along with a passion for creating exceptional living environments. The CAD Designer will collaborate closely with interior designers, architects, project managers, contractors, and clients to bring sophisticated luxury homes to life. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D design drawings for luxury residential renovation projects. Create comprehensive construction document sets, including: Floor plans Elevations Sections Reflected ceiling plans Demolition plans Interior detailing packages Produce custom millwork, cabinetry, kitchen, bathroom, and built-in furniture drawings. Assist with space planning and interior layout development. Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, MEP, and contractor requirements. Revise drawings based on design development, client feedback, field measurements, and site conditions. Conduct site visits as needed to verify dimensions and existing conditions. Ensure all drawings comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Maintain project documentation and version control throughout project lifecycles. Support material selections and preparation of presentation drawings and renderings. Collaborate with project teams to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in construction documents. Review shop drawings and assist with construction administration as required. Required Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related discipline. 2-10 years of CAD drafting/design experience , preferably in luxury residential or high-end interior renovation projects. Experience creating detailed interior construction documentation. Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and architectural detailing. Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
