Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwork Engineer with proven experience in designing, drafting, and managing custom millwork projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural woodworking, shop drawings, and production processes, and will play a key role in translating design concepts into precise, manufacturable plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed shop drawings and technical plans for custom millwork projects Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure design intent and feasibility Review project specifications, blueprints, and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance Coordinate with production teams to support efficient fabrication and installation Identify and resolve design or engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and client expectations Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in millwork engineering or related field Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Microvellum, or similar) Strong understanding of woodworking materials, construction methods, and fabrication processes Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong communication and organizational abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CNC programming and manufacturing processes Background in commercial or high-end residential millwork projects Familiarity with project management tools and ERP systems
Work Environment:
Office and production/shop collaboration environment May require occasional site visits

$53,533.64 - $100,000.00 per year
