Reporting to the Project Delivery Group, you will support offices globally working from our Tampa, FL office location. We're entrepreneurs with a technical soul. Qualifications:
Roles at this level are filled by recent or soon to be college graduates with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills
Preferred Associates of Science Degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)
Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale We are not seeking candidates with a 4-year degree in engineering for this position. Please navigate to our careers website to look for other positions if you are currently obtaining a 4-year degree in engineering. As the successful candidate, you will: Assist with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, cost, and schedule
Produce and maintain technical and engineering drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software as required
Perform conceptual layout work
Develop design details
Check drawings prior to release
Ensure coordination with designers and engineers within the discipline and with other disciplines
Perform clash detection of models with other discipline models
Participate in formal engineering review processes
Verify onsite condition and dimensions relating to existing facilities
Incorporate safety in design
Gain valuable on-site practical experience You bring to the role: Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D structural design/drawing software packages, including Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Bentley MicroStation software
Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to structural design is an asset
Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset Competencies (knowledge, skill, attributes): Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects
Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges
Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges
