Job Description
Position Overview Seeking a talented, creative, and customer-focused Designer to join our team. The Designer will work directly with homeowners, builders, contractors, and other clients to develop functional, attractive, and personalized kitchen, bath, cabinetry, and residential design solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong design skills with excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to turn a client's vision into an accurate, workable design.
Position Type:
Full-Time Key Responsibilities Meet with clients to understand their vision, needs, preferences, project requirements, and budget. Develop creative and functional kitchen, bath, cabinetry, and residential design concepts. Create detailed layouts, elevations, plans, and presentations using appropriate design software. Assist clients with selections including cabinetry, countertops, hardware, fixtures, finishes, and related products. Guide clients through the design process from initial concept through final selections and ordering. Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, product specifications, and orders. Read and interpret residential blueprints, floor plans, and construction drawings. Take or coordinate accurate field measurements when required. Revise designs based on client feedback, measurements, budget, and project requirements. Review designs and orders for accuracy to minimize errors and ensure proper product fit. Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire design process. Stay current on cabinetry, countertops, finishes, hardware, fixtures, and residential design trends. Customer Service & Sales Build strong, professional relationships with clients. Present design concepts and product recommendations with confidence. Help clients make informed design and purchasing decisions. Address questions, concerns, and design changes throughout the project. Work within client budgets while maximizing the overall design. Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with clients. Required Qualifications Previous experience in kitchen, bath, cabinetry, interior, or residential design preferred. Strong understanding of space planning, cabinetry, materials, finishes, and residential design. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Strong computer and design software skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites when necessary. The position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, use a computer and design equipment, and navigate residential jobsites when necessary.
