Meridian, Idaho Full-time In-office The Opportunity FoldX Technologies designs factory-built modular housing for residential and commercial markets. We are seeking an experienced architect to join our Meridian team and lead the development of complete, permit-ready architectural plan sets. This is an opportunity to move beyond a traditional architecture-firm role and take direct ownership of products from design through permitting, manufacturing, and construction. You will work closely with our product-development and engineering teams while helping establish the architectural standards and plan libraries that support FoldX's growth. A new kind of design challenge. FoldX homes require architects to expand beyond traditional stick-built residential design and develop expertise in steel framing, structural insulated panels, prefabricated building systems, and proprietary folding and hinging technologies. Modular experience is valuable but not required; curiosity, adaptability, and strong residential experience are essential. Key Responsibilities Prepare complete architectural plan sets for residential and commercial modular buildings. Produce floor plans, site plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, code summaries, and permit documents. Incorporate structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, energy, and other specifications provided by FoldX's engineering department. Coordinate architectural drawings with separately prepared and sealed engineering documents. Adapt standardized building designs to individual properties and jurisdictional requirements. Research and apply applicable building codes, zoning requirements, energy codes, and local amendments. Prepare permit-submittal packages and respond to plan-review comments. Serve as architect of record and seal architectural plans prepared under your responsible control. Collaborate with product designers, engineers, manufacturing teams, contractors, and building officials. Help create standardized details, drawing templates, quality-control procedures, and preapproved plan libraries. Participate in prototype reviews and apply manufacturing and installation lessons to future designs. Required Qualifications Current Idaho architectural license, or active licensure in another state with the ability to obtain Idaho licensure promptly. Experience preparing complete residential construction-document sets. Ability to draft projects independently from concept through permit approval and construction. Strong knowledge of residential building codes, zoning, permitting, and construction methods. Experience preparing site plans and incorporating survey, utility, setback, grading, and civil information. Ability to coordinate engineering specifications and drawings across multiple disciplines. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable architectural-design software. Strong technical drawing, detailing, quality-control, and communication skills. Willingness to work full-time in FoldX's Meridian office. Preferred Qualifications Architectural licensure in additional Western states, particularly Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, or Arizona. NCARB certification or the ability to obtain reciprocal licensure. Experience with modular, factory-built, panelized, manufactured, or industrialized construction. Experience developing standardized plans, master plans, or repeatable residential products. Familiarity with steel construction, structural insulated panels, building-envelope systems, or design formanufacturing. Experience working directly with manufacturers, contractors, engineers, or field-installation teams. Why Join FoldX? Pay:

$90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
