Job Description
A designer's primary responsibility is to assist the design team in developing new product designs and improving existing product designs using Autodesk Inventor and Vault. The designer will be responsible for creating 3D Parametric models and assemblies as well as creating the associated drawings. Duties will consist of developing accurate models of purchased parts either by taking accurate measurements or supplies cut sheets. The designer will get directions from the Design Manager. The Designer will work with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing as needed to complete design related tasks. The designer will be required to track time spent on different projects using provided tracking tools or software. Key Responsibilities Create and revise detailed manufacturing drawings using CAD Software Managing engineering drawings and data in Inventor Vault environment Maintain drawing standards, file organization, and version control Collaborate with engineers and team members to clarify design requirements and resolve design issues Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and drafting standards Must be able to multi-task and handle several projects in a fast-paced environment, attention to details is critical Revise existing drawings based on feedback from the design team Assist with design modifications throughout the project lifecycle
