We are seeking an experienced Architectural Designer or Project Architect with at least five years of professional experience. In this role, you will take meaningful ownership of projects from early design through construction administration. You will work with a collaborative team that values thoughtful design, strong technical work, and attention to detail. Our work Our portfolio includes education, life sciences, residential, animal care, and hospitality projects. This position will focus primarily on life sciences, education, and residential work. We also welcome candidates to share their interests so we can match people with projects that suit their experience and goals. Responsibilities Lead and contribute to architectural design across projects of varying types and scales Develop design concepts through sketches, hand drawings, 3D models, renderings, and digital presentations Prepare schematic design and design development documents Develop coordinated construction documents in Revit Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members Lead or participate in client presentations, design reviews, and project meetings Coordinate work with engineers, landscape architects, interior designers, and other consultants Support marketing efforts through graphics, proposals, and presentation materials Participate in construction administration, including submittal and RFI review, site observation, and project documentation Qualifications At least five years of professional experience in architectural design Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Strong design and technical skills Experience with hand drawing and architectural sketching Excellent graphic presentation and visualization skills Clear written and verbal communication Strong organization, attention to detail, and judgment when addressing complex project issues A collaborative working style and an interest in supporting the growth of other team members Preferred qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited program Working knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements Architectural licensure or active progress toward licensure Work environment We value collaboration, mentorship, and time spent working together in person. While most team members work in the office Monday through Friday, we offer flexible schedules. Our office is in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, within walking distance of the MBTA Commuter Rail's Rockport Line. Free on-site parking is available.
