Full-time About Us PEGASUS Design-to-Build is a family-run residential remodeling and design-build firm based in Melrose, MA with over 25 years of experience. We specialize in high-quality kitchen and bathroom remodels, home additions, and whole-home renovations. Our team excels at turning thoughtful designs into practical, beautifully executed remodeling projects for homeowners in the Greater Boston area. The Role We're seeking an Architectural Designer who is excited to work in a true remodeling firm where design and construction are fully integrated. You'll collaborate directly with homeowners and our experienced carpenters on active remodeling projects — developing buildable designs and seeing them realized on job sites from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Design development for kitchen & bathroom remodels, home additions, and residential renovation projects Create architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction details Prepare permit drawings and support local permitting processes Work closely with lead carpenters on constructability, value engineering, and real-world remodeling solutions Conduct site visits for existing condition measurements and construction-phase support Participate in client meetings for remodeling projects Requirements 2-4 years of experience in residential architecture or remodeling / design-build (strong early-career or internship candidates encouraged) Proficiency with Chief Architect (preferred) or Revit / AutoCAD (training available) Experience with construction documents and permitting a plus Collaborative mindset and passion for residential remodeling work What We Offer Competitive salary: $75,000 - $92,000 per year (DOE) Performance bonus Company vehicle for site visits and field work Paid time off, holidays, and sick time Retirement plan contributions Supportive team environment with experienced carpenters and project managers Hands-on role in a remodeling firm where you see your designs built into finished client homes
