Join Bethesda Contracting and help bring homeowners' dreams to life! We're seeking a skilled Junior Designer/ Drafter to help take our designs to the next level. Drafting Take mood boards and/or rough drawings from lead designer to execute drawings as needed Use 2020 to design kitchen and bathroom cabinetry Use Chief Architect or Revit for redesign of interior spaces Present colored elevations or 3D models to client for review Use drafting programs to prepare construction documents for field team to use Incorporate design note or selections into drawings Coordinate structural drawings into floor plans Design/Build Assist the design team with all aspects of client interactions and design process including: Work with clients to initiate overall design scheme/feel of proposed space Manage and coordinate design/selections appointments Liaison between clients and BC as well as other vendors. Coordinate subcontractor walkthroughs with homeowner. Review budget "Check-In" with estimator & construction team during design. Help determine project schedule timelines with estimator and project manager that involve selections and lead times. Maintain selection library and samples as needed Manage procurement of selected materials Build relationships with consultants/vendors to ensure great results across outsourced services. Value engineering selections as needed to fit specific projects/budgets. Apply and reinforce design standards across all aspects of design projects Maintain a strong relationship and understanding of material vendors and suppliers. Remain aware of current design trends and new materials available Work with photographers to have completed projects documented for website and marketing purposes. Start & Finish each Project for a client or architect so that they would recommend using Bethesda Contracting again. Requirements - 2020 experience Remodel, New Construction, or Additions Experience Chief Architect or Revit experience Knowledge of design industry standards cabinet design and NKBA standards Certified Kitchen and Bath designer a plus 2 years of industry experience a minimum
