OVERVIEW Merrick & Company is seeking a college senior or graduate school student majoring in Architecture for a paid summer student internship for Summer 2027 for our Ellicott City (Baltimore), MD or port s, VA office. Merrick's summer internship program offers meaningful, hands-on experience for students. Designed as a shorter-term, exploratory experience, internships allow students to apply what they're learning in school while gaining exposure to real projects, professional collaboration, and day-to-day life at an employee-owned company. The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2027.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The summer internship will provide the Architecture student with an opportunity to gain handson technical experience within the field of industrial architecture. Industrial architecture is a compelling career path, combining technical problem solving, code interpretation, and lifesafety heavy architectural analysis with the excitement of designing facilities across multiple diverse industries. Throughout the internship, the student will be exposed to all aspects of building design and will have the chance to contribute to unique and engaging projects. This individual will work within a multidiscipline design firm under the supervision of a licensed Architect. The position requires the ability to follow specific and detailed instructions related to architectural tasks, collaborate effectively with other designers, adhere to schedules, and work independently when needed. Strong written and oral communication skills, sound problemsolving abilities, and a commitment to producing highquality design work efficiently are essential. The ideal candidate is teamoriented, selfmotivated, and focused on delivering thoughtful, wellexecuted architectural solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must have graduation date after August 2027 to be eligible.

Must be a senior pursuing an Architecture degree from an NAAB accredited program or a current graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Architecture.

Must include a portfolio with application.

Basic knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.

Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Basic skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and various other visualization software.

Knowledge in Adobe Suite and graphic experience.

Local candidates preferred.
