Job Description

Job Summary This position supports the structural design team by contributing to the development of detailed 3D structural layout models for complex engineering projects. Working in a multi-disciplined team environment, the role focuses on creating and coordinating structural design deliverables, resolving design challenges, and supporting integrated project execution. The position is onsite and involves collaboration with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders. Responsibilities Develop structural physical layout drawings within a 3D modeling environment Design structural supports and foundations and resolve a wide range of structural design issues Utilize 3D modeling software tools to generate structural design schematics Coordinate detailed design phases across all aspects of an integrated structural design model Plan and execute structural design deliverables independently and as part of a design team Review and support the development of structural layout drawings, including steel frames, connections, concrete members, foundations, and equipment and piping supports Provide design support to other designers and project team members to ensure timely and complete deliverables Assist senior designers and engineers with field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities, as needed Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced drafters and designers Support the effective use of drafting and design tools across the team Qualifications Required Associate's degree in drafting, or a high school diploma with drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience Four or more years of detailed design experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete design drawings Proficiency with design software tools used to execute 3D plant layout models Experience reviewing structural layout drawings involving steel frames, connections, concrete members, foundations, rebar detailing, and equipment and piping supports Ability to interface and collaborate with engineering and design teams across multiple disciplines U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is not available Preferred Proficiency with MicroStation
