CAD & Architectural Specialist Employment Type:

Company Owner / Lead Builder Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented CAD & Architectural Specialist to produce high-quality 2D construction drawings, floor plans, and 3D client presentation renderings for custom home builds and major remodeling projects. This role works closely with leadership and our Office Manager to translate site measurements into clear, visually compelling designs that accelerate proposal approvals and ensure accuracy in the field. Key Responsibilities As-Built & Schematic Drafting Translate field measurements into precise 2D existing-condition baselines and conceptual floor plan layouts. Develop floor plans, elevations, and trade-specific layout options for kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home remodels. 3D Presentations & Proposal Support Create realistic 3D renderings and elevation views for inclusion in client proposal packages. Participate in design review meetings as needed to explain spatial planning and layout choices. Construction & Permit Drawings Produce detailed permit-ready plan sets and construction drawings that comply with local building codes. Outline material callouts and structural dimensions to prevent field changes during construction. Standardized Design Library Build and maintain a standardized digital library of cabinetry profiles, fixtures, and finishes to streamline drafting workflows. Qualifications 3+ years of residential drafting and design experience using architectural software (e.g., Chief Architect, AutoCAD, Revit, SoftPlan, or 2020 Design). Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, structural framing fundamentals, and building code requirements. Portfolio demonstrating high-resolution 3D renderings and complete residential plan sets. Ability to work independently and deliver completed drawing packages on predictable project deadlines.

Pay:

$30.00 - $33.00 per hour
