We're hiring a Civil Engineering Designer at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO , and we're looking for someone who's ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. The Civil Engineering Designer to help us manage nationwide expansion efforts and support the Internal Design team on Corporate and Branch projects. Primary Responsibilities Ensure Corporate & Branch facilities uphold the EquipmentShare design and engineering standards Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal Project Managers and other stakeholders to develop initial project goals including non-negotiable site design features, budget, and design and construction schedule Execute multiple projects under various deadlines Read, interpret, and explain complex technical documents to peers and leaders. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to interpret site design requirements and to produce constructable specifications, plans, and details Work with outside consultants in the form of client representation or liaison role. Maintain current knowledge of trends, materials, analysis techniques and other. developments in civil engineering - demonstrate a passion for continuous learning. We're looking for people who: See challenges as opportunities Embrace change and continuous improvement Bring energy, effort, and optimism every day Skills & Qualifications Able to work with a high degree of independence and be able to take the lead on initiatives with limited supervision is a must Experience with commercial or industrial site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, paving, erosion control, and ADA design Experience with new construction and renovation projects Ability to apply, adapt, and manage, execution of civil engineering standards Demonstrated ability to effectively self-manage design responsibilities across multiple concurrent projects Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated time management skills Proficiency in the following software: AutoCAD and Civil 3D Bluebeam Civil engineering design & analysis software (StormCAD,, Hydro CAD , ArcGIS, etc.) Google Apps and/or
Microsoft Office Suite Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent technical training and experience may be considered EIT or PE licensure is beneficial but not required At least at least 5 years experience in the field of Site/Civil engineering is required
Physical Requirements:
