Structural Designer
Job Description
Job Roles and Responsibilities Develop detailed structural drawings and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD. Prepare plans for foundations, buildings, and structural systems based on engineering designs and specifications. Review design documents to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements. Coordinate design updates and revisions with engineers and project teams. Conduct site visits to collect field measurements and information required for design development. Assist with material quantity calculations and project documentation. Support the preparation of project deliverables, estimates, and related documentation. Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify and resolve design challenges. Maintain organized project records and drawing files. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Certifications Associate Degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of structural design and drafting experience. Minimum 5 years of Revit experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Experience developing construction documents for structural projects. Strong understanding of engineering drawings and design standards. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience with structural analysis software such as SAP2000 or similar tools. Experience using project management software such as MS Project. Programming or design automation experience. Experience working within a structural engineering environment.
