Company Description Rosenbaum Design Group Architecture (RDG), founded in 1964, specializes in designing multi-scale commercial structures such as food markets, retail establishments, offices, schools, shopping centers, commercial spaces, and healthcare facilities. RDG offers the personal service of a small firm combined with the resources of a large, diversified firm to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to clients' satisfaction. Role Description Qualities Experienced Senior Architectural Designer Work directly with all Firm Principals Day-to-day interface with the Clients Strong ability to delegate tasks Overall responsibility for client satisfaction, quality control, financial performance and team dynamics on your projects. Maintain clear mind and calm head under stressful situations Actively mentor the next generation of leadership by inspiring, empowering and leading by example. Interface and coordinate with office administrative, accounting, legal, and HR personnel, as well as coworkers, architects, project managers and CAD staff across the office Assure a collaborative, integrated approach in working with other disciplines and office to promote innovative design strategies throughout the project's life cycle. Qualifications Bachelor's in Architecture Licensed Architect (a plus) 12+ years of project design experience in a commercial architectural practice/setting Strong grasp of Federal, State and Local Building Codes Proven performance in managing the design and delivery process for a production focused practice Working knowledge of MS Office, Acrobat, BillQuick/CORE (preferred) Expert skill & use of AutoCAD & PhotoShop General knowledge of Revit/SketchUp Learner mindset with a "can do/never say no" attitude Excellent written & oral english communication skills Professional, mature presentation with strong ability to properly represent yourself and the Firm Proven ability to create a collaborative, positive, and inclusive team culture Proven experience or demonstrated commitment to mentoring or coaching junior team members Proven experience building trust with coworkers, consultants and clients and developing longstanding relationships Possess the ability and familiarity with: Providing Full comprehensive and/or partial zoning analysis and conclusions, based on comprehensive or simple client inquiries. Many municipalities, counties, states. Be familiar with zoning principles in general. Developing various simple and comprehensive site design layouts and parking layouts based on client programs or requests (and local zoning), both B/W and in full color presentation. Code requirements and layouts of charging stations, and other site related accessories. Importing site survey information into AutoCAD from raw meets and bounds data, survey information. Trace and extrapolate site survey information. Creating parking reconfiguration designs. Creating and designing schematic building plans, sections, and elevations, B/W and in 2D color (including but not limited to Landscape, Hardscape, Glass Transparencies, Shade and Shadow, Material Texture Mapping). Creating code compliant pylon designs, in B/W and in color. (Based on zoning restrictions and criteria). Creating code compliant landlord and tenant sign packages (Based on zoning restrictions and criteria). Creating and manipulating various exterior and interior images through Photoshop editing. Creating tenant logos for title-blocks or presentation. Creating AI generated 2D and 3D images for design intent or proposed. Providing extensive or simplistic single or multi-level lease plans in B/W and in color. Creating and editing spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and/or Lotus 123 (Building Areas, Parking calculations, Completion Charts, Etc.). Creating and editing 3D Sketchup models. TwinMotion; Movie and Image creation a plus Importing / exporting/ converting PDF and CAD files into the Firm's AutoCAD conventions. Creating and manipulating building stacking sections. Designing tenant "Test Fit" design layouts, with or without client programs; (Supermarkets, Office, Retail, Medical, Educational, Municipal, Government etc.). Creating blocking and bubble diagrams in B/W and in color; track, edit, and summarize areas. BOMA and REBNY conventions, and loss factor calculations. AutoCAD extensively; 2D drafting and editing. Revit; Creating, editing, and 3D presentation. Building materials and products for the purposes of design selection (& sample board creation). Directing others assisting in design presentation tasks.
