The SEED is an award-winning women-owned design studio based in New York City, working with the medium of light across architectural lighting, experiential environments, research, and product design. Located in the heart of SoHo, our work spans commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, and light art projects internationally, with a focus on atmosphere, materiality, sustainability, and storytelling through design. We are looking for curious, motivated, and visually sensitive designers interested in a hands-on studio environment and excited to contribute to impactful and experimental work. This position is ideal for candidates from architecture, interior design, lighting, and related creative disciplines who are interested in learning architectural lighting design through direct project experience within a collaborative studio culture. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced, design-driven environment. Qualifications; Degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related design field 1-2 years of experience at a lighting design or architecture firm is a plus, but not required Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, and Adobe Creative Suite Experience with Rhino and AGI32 is a bonus Strong graphic design and presentation skills Excellent communication and storytelling abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to communicate professionally with project teams, clients, vendors, and contractors Fluent English speaker How to
