Job Description

Description The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission is a national toll road leader and conveniently located near all major universities in Northern Ohio. We provide our students with an opportunity to immerse themselves in day-to-day learning, including our annual construction program consisting of the ambitious pavement replacement program, multiple pavement resurfacing projects, bridge rehabilitation projects and architectural improvement to our service plazas. Our work directly contributes to the growth and economic development of Northern Ohio. We are an established organization of nearly a dozen engineers and more than 900 employees. We are well-known in the region and enjoy close working relationships with our clients, giving you rewarding, educational experiences and opportunities for professional development. Examples of Duties This is an excellent Co-op /Intern opportunity for a student majoring in Civil Engineering. The successful Co-op/Intern will assist on projects in all facets of civil engineering projects including civil, structural, environmental, traffic and planning. You must be flexible, have the ability to handle multiple projects with a varied interest, possess strong computer skills and enjoy learning. Attention to detail is critical. Typical Qualifications Specific Requirements Include:
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum Willing to work full-time during the Co-op period Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CAD (preferably AutoCAD) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be willing to work in an outdoor active construction environment as well as in an office setting Must have a valid driver's license
