This position requires self-motivation, strong attention to detail and organization, the capability to multitask and work in a team atmosphere. Candidates must have expertise with BIM/CAD software, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks which include processing 3D building scans, creating as-builts, drafting architectural plans, sections, elevations, detailing and 3D modeling through all project phases, as well as overseeing and refining Revit templates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process point cloud data into useable 3D models, ensure accuracy and completeness of scans, collaborate with Project Managers Maintain office Revit templates to be in conformance with industry standards Provide training and support to team members on BIM and CAD software and implement best practices for collaboration Developing and maintaining accurate 3D models for all stages of project development Collaborate with Project Managers, produce detailed drawings from BIM models and assisting in design processes Conduct clash detections to identify and resolve conflicts within the BIM models Work on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to timelines and budgets Maintain the details library for CAD and Revit and ensure all project stakeholders have access to the latest documents Stay updated with the latest developments in BIM technology and its applications in the construction industry
QUALIFICATIONS
A Technical, Associates or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or Architecture 5+ years related experience as a BIM/CAD Technician or Manager, preferably in an A/E firm Software proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft 365, Bluebeam required Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes and drafting techniques Excellent communication and collaboration skills Attention to detail and precision in work output Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines Knowledge of IBC codes - ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical codes including; state building code, energy code, fire code and local zoning code Documentation knowledge - ability to create, select, evaluate, and implement interior and exterior architectural details, procedures and techniques used to complete project documents at all phases of a project Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Willingness to accept new and/or additional responsibilities Exceptional organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently as well as within a team Manages time well - ability to plan, prioritize and organize simultaneous assignments and work under tight deadlines Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, clients and consultants
