Job Description

Civil Drafter Key Responsibilities Drafting & Design Support Prepare detailed engineering drawings, site plans, and construction documents Draft grading, drainage, and utility plans under engineer direction Translate field survey data and engineering redlines into accurate CAD drawings Assist with preliminary and final land development plan sets Technical Execution Produce stormwater management system drawings and details Draft site grading, utility, and infrastructure plans Maintain drawing standards, layer conventions, and file organization across projects Support preparation of permit submission packages Team & Project Coordination Coordinate with engineers and surveyors to ensure drawings reflect current site conditions Incorporate revisions from engineering and client review comments Support project teams in meeting deadlines across multiple active projects Professional Development Learn from senior engineers and surveyors on a range of project types Stay current with CAD software updates and drafting standards Participate in professional development and continuing education Required Qualifications Education Associate's degree or certificate in CAD/drafting, civil engineering technology, or equivalent hands-on experience Experience Minimum 2 years of civil drafting experience Experience with site development or land development projects preferred Municipal project experience a plus Technical Skills Proficiency in Carlson IntelliCAD Understanding of grading, drainage, and utility design concepts Familiarity with GIS software a plus Familiarity with Pennsylvania municipal and DEP permitting processes a plus Professional Skills Strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well within a team Other Requirements Must be a U.S. citizen What We Offer Competitive pay commensurate with experience Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company matching Professional development and continuing education support Opportunities for career advancement
