Architectural Designer - Multifamily | Mixed-UseWe are a multidisciplinary architecture firm dedicated to creating efficient, reliable, and forward-thinking designs. Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to support the delivery of multifamily and mixed-use projects from concept through construction. The role focuses on producing high-quality design work and construction documentation in Revit, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and supporting Job Captain responsibilities to ensure timely, code-compliant project delivery and client satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and produce schematic design, design development, and construction documents for multifamily and mixed-use projects using Revit and BIM workflows.

Serve in a Job Captain capacity: manage project documentation, coordinate drawings, review details, and mentor junior designers as needed.

Prepare detailed construction documentation and ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil consultants and other stakeholders to integrate systems and resolve design conflicts.

Participate in client meetings, design presentations, and project coordination meetings; clearly communicate design intent and document decisions.

Perform site analysis, code review, and feasibility studies to inform design and documentation.

Maintain QA/QC standards for drawings, specifications, and deliverables; track revisions and maintain organized project file management.

Support bidding and construction administration phases including responding to RFIs, preparing ASIs, and conducting site visits to review construction progress and resolve issues.

Contribute to materials and finish selections, building details, and mock-up reviews to ensure constructability and design integrity.

QualificationsProfessional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) and 3+ years of relevant experience with emphasis on multifamily and mixed-use projects; experience as a Job Captain or senior designer preferred.

Proven proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination; strong skills in producing construction documentation and construction documentation workflows.

Solid understanding of building codes, zoning, life-safety requirements, and accessibility standards applicable to multifamily/mixed-use developments.

Strong technical design ability with experience producing construction details, schedules, and specifications.

Experience coordinating with consultants and contractors and managing project deliverables and schedules.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, team-oriented attitude, and ability to mentor junior staff.

Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and common project management tools is preferred.

Licensed architect or NCARB certification progress is a plus but not required.

Demonstrated attention to constructability, quality control, and ability to balance design intent with budget and schedule constraints.
