Job Description

Job Title:
BIM Designer Job Description We are seeking a skilled BIM Designer with a strong foundation in engineering knowledge and practical coordination skills within a BIM environment. The ideal candidate will deliver project BIM models, coordinate with project partners, and ensure that project standards are maintained across all deliverables. You will play a vital role in resolving complex technical modeling and drafting issues, while also mentoring other team members. Responsibilities Deliver project BIM models and ensure adherence to project standards. Coordinate BIM information across different disciplines and project elements. Resolve complex technical modeling and drafting issues. Mentor and guide other team members in BIM model authoring and provide modeling guidance. Monitor and guide the BIM process using software such as BIM 360 and Trimble Connect. Liaise with project team and consultants to review and amend BIM models as necessary. Essential Skills Proficiency in Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. 5 years of BIM Design experience in infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of BIM principles and digital design workflows. Advanced 3D CAD/BIM modeling experience, especially in civil engineering, infrastructure, or rail projects. Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for a degree. Work Environment The office comprises 32 people, and you will be part of a team of 15-20 professionals, including BIM Designers, CAD Technicians, and Marine and Bridge Engineers. You will support heavy marine, bridge, and rail projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $64.77/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
