Civil Project Engineer II/III - Renewable Energy Structural Design

Job DescriptionTimmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Structures and Bridge Design Group, based in Richmond, VA. Remote work options are available for qualified candidates. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative renewable energy and structural design projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
Design steel piles and steel connections for a variety of structural applicationsDevelop cast-in-place concrete slab designsApply knowledge of renewable energy systems and terminology to structural designAssist in developing project scopes, schedules, and budgetsSupport project and task management activitiesContribute to marketing efforts and proposal developmentSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)2+ years of experience in solar structure designPE License is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in structural design software, especially LPile, Mathcad, and ExcelExperience using AutoCAD for plan developmentFamiliarity with Excel/AutoCAD interoperability for creating pile plot plans is a plus

Compensation:
Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $82,000-$90,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.Additional InformationThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
