Occasional travel to store locations across the U.S. About UG Tea UG Tea is a growing beverage brand expanding across the United States. As we continue opening new locations, we are looking for a bilingual Construction & Design Coordinator to support our store development and construction team. This position will work closely with our internal team, franchise partners, architects, contractors, and overseas vendors to help coordinate store design, construction drawings, equipment requirements, and project documentation. This is a coordination and support role rather than a Project Manager position. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable reading construction drawings, able to make basic AutoCAD revisions, and confident communicating with both U.S.-based and overseas partners. Key Responsibilities Review floor plans, construction drawings, shop drawings, and related project documents for new and existing store locations. Assist the internal construction and operations teams with drawing review, markups, and design coordination. Make basic revisions and adjustments to drawings using AutoCAD. Coordinate drawing comments and revisions with local architects, drafters, general contractors, and franchise partners. Communicate with overseas furniture, millwork, equipment, and material vendors regarding specifications, dimensions, drawings, and project requirements. Help verify furniture, millwork, equipment, signage, and fixture dimensions and placement against approved store layouts. Assist with coordination of electrical, plumbing, low-voltage, equipment, and other store construction requirements. Track drawing revisions, approvals, construction documents, and project-related information. Assist the team in following up on permit, plan-check, construction, and store-opening progress. Review construction photos and site conditions and help identify discrepancies between approved drawings and field conditions. Support site visits, punch-list inspections, and store-opening preparation when needed. Maintain organized project files, drawings, specifications, vendor information, and construction records. Communicate project updates and outstanding items clearly to internal and external stakeholders. Provide general construction and design coordination support for multiple store projects simultaneously. Qualifications Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English, written and verbal, is required. Ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, including the ability to make basic drawing revisions and updates. Strong communication and coordination skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in drawings, dimensions, and project information. Ability to organize and follow up on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Comfortable communicating with architects, contractors, vendors, franchise partners, and internal teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Willingness to travel occasionally to store locations in different states. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in construction coordination, architectural design, interior design, retail development, restaurant development, or a related field. Experience working with general contractors, architects, millwork/furniture vendors, or equipment suppliers. Experience coordinating with overseas vendors or manufacturing teams. Familiarity with retail, restaurant, café, or food & beverage construction projects. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, SketchUp, or other design/construction software is a plus. A college degree is not required. Relevant experience, technical ability, communication skills, and attention to detail are valued more than formal education. The employee will be expected to work collaboratively with the internal team in the office while also having designated remote-work flexibility.
