Architectural Millwork Engineer

Job Description

For over 30 years, Architectural Surfaces has delivered comprehensive millwork solutions for the commercial market and we are growing! We are seeking a talented Engineer to join our team in Chattanooga.
What You'll Do:
Create detailed 3D/2D millwork shop drawings using AutoCAD and Microvellum. Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering Managers to refine designs before submittal. Convert field dimensions into "As Built" drawings for production. Identify materials for purchase and generate mill tickets to guide production.
What You'll Bring:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Microvellum experience is a plus). Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction project manuals Knowledge of AWI standards Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or millwork manufacturing Experience working in INNERGY preferred but not required Ability to follow industry standards and customer specifications. Stationary work:
requiring ability to sit, stand for long periods of time. Moderate amounts of walking involved in travel, walking stores, and reviewing protypes. Consistent use of repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers to view and operate computer, phone, and basic office equipment. Occasional lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds
