Intern Architect

Job Description

Intern ArchitectOur client is seeking a motivated Intern Architect to join their growing architectural team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with an accredited architecture degree and at least one year of commercial and/or residential architectural experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

The Intern Architect will work closely with Project Managers and design teams, assisting with all phases of architectural projects from conceptual design through construction administration. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with SketchUp is a plus.

Key ResponsibilitiesWork under the direction of a Project Manager.

Support multiple projects from schematic design through construction administration.

Assist in meeting client expectations while maintaining quality and project schedules.

Develop 3D Building Information Models (BIM) and 2D construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.Perform drawing revisions and redline updates.

Assist in streamlining the architectural design process from concept through project completion.

Support contract administration activities.

Participate in the architectural design process, developing presentation graphics and alternative design solutions.

Assist with the preparation of project specifications.

Review product data and shop drawing submittals during the construction phase.

Coordinate project information with internal teams and engineering consultants to produce accurate construction documents.

Report progress and completed work to the Project Manager.

Maintain organized project files and assist with document management, printing, scanning, and transmittals.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of commercial and/or residential architectural experience, or 3 years of experience as an Architectural Intern.

Strong architectural design and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.Experience with SketchUp is a plus.

Knowledge of architectural practices, Life Safety requirements, building codes, and specification writing.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred EducationBachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
