Truss Designer Christmas Truss Company - 1.0 Knoxville, TN Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Benefits Relocation assistance Qualifications Customer communication Architecture Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's degree Trade school Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description About the Role Christmas Lumber Company is hiring an experienced Truss Designer to join our growing design team, supporting roof and floor truss design for residential and commercial projects. This role is critical to keeping our manufacturing and construction partners supplied with accurate, code-compliant designs on schedule. What You'll Do Design roof and floor trusses using industry-standard truss design software Interpret architectural and structural plans to produce accurate, buildable truss layouts Ensure designs meet applicable building codes and engineering standards Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to resolve design conflicts and field issues Meet design deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy Communicate directly with customers and builders as needed to clarify design intent What We're Looking For Proven experience designing roof and/or floor trusses (component manufacturing, truss plant, or related building industry experience required) Working knowledge of Alpine truss design software Strong understanding of framing, structural loads, and building codes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under deadline Effective communicator who can work across sales, design, and production teams Why Join Us Christmas Lumber Company is investing in building a best-in-class design department — with clear standards, real support, and a team built to do accurate, high-quality work.
