Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise and functional designs across various projects, utilizing a range of CAD and drafting tools. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to construction, civil, mechanical, and architectural projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client specifications and industry standards. The Designer will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop detailed schematics, models, and visualizations that support project success. Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D designs using SolidWorks software. Create accurate schematics, technical drawings, and drafting documents for manufacturing projects Model complex mechanical components and assemblies with precision for manufacturing purposes Must be able to read blue prints (test will be given) and easily read a measuring tape Solid understanding of various forms and sizes of alloys and other structural hardware components Good knowledge of steel fabrication materials and manufacturing processes an asset Experience with product design and development an asset Attention to detail oriented Creative methodical thinker, trouble shooter and problem solver Self-motivated, results oriented, and budget minded Proven ability to received feedback and apply it to future tasks Understanding of structural analysis and simulation software. Good organization skills, and ability to follow instructions and meet deadline Prepare visualizations including 2D animations to effectively communicate design concepts Review project specifications and ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and client expectations Revise and update drawings based on feedback or changes during project development Qualifications Proven experience with SolidWorks and 2D animation tools Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry standards is preferred Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members This position offers a good work environment where creativity meets technical expertise. $49,859.87 - $60,046.30 per year
