Full Job Description Job Description:
Pape-Dawson is seeking a full-time Civil Graduate in our Murfreesboro, Tennessee office following Summer 2027 graduation. This position will contribute to the successful design, analysis, and implementation of projects within an engineering team. This role includes assisting in technical design, project coordination, and ensuring compliance with project-specific requirements under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer (P.E.). Responsibilities Assist in the design and preparation of plans for commercial, residential, and site development projects, focusing on grading, drainage, and utility layouts Analyze design alternatives to address site constraints and meet client objectives Collaborate on permitting and regulatory compliance for site development project Prepare technical reports, studies, and documentation using tools such as MS Office Suite Direct and review the work of engineering technicians to ensure accuracy and quality Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative engineering solutions Additional related duties as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months from start date Previous experience through an internship with a civil design firm is beneficial Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, and procedures Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Reliability and dependability Benefits Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Long-term and short-term disability coverage Generous PTO and paid holidays 401(k) safe harbor contribution plus 10% employer matching Premium time paid out to eligible salaried employees when over 40 hours are worked in a week Annual salary review and bonus Tuition and gym reimbursements Parental leave Flexible work environment Focus on work-life balance Pape-Dawson's Tennessee office, formerly RaganSmith, was founded in 1933 as a land surveying company.
