Job Description
Header Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Engineer in Training (EIT) specializing in Residential Construction to join our innovative team. In this role, you will support the design, planning, and management of residential building projects, ensuring they meet all engineering standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Your expertise will drive project success from conception through completion, delivering high-quality residential structures that enhance communities and satisfy clients' visions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your residential engineering skills in a fast-paced environment, contributing to sustainable and efficient residential developments. Responsibilities Support the planning, design, and execution of residential construction projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets Assist in the development of detailed schematics, technical reports, and construction documents using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and CAD tools Assist in the management of project phases including permitting, design engineering, construction management, and inspection to ensure compliance with local codes and standards Assist with the coordination of clients, contractors, surveyors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth project progression Conduct site inspections and oversee construction activities to guarantee quality control and safety standards are maintained Assist with the preparation of technical Engineering Letters to address issues as they arise during the building process Assist with project scheduling using project management software; monitor progress and adjust plans proactively to meet deadlines Assist with project documentation including permits, schematics, technical specifications, and progress reports Support team efforts in managing workflow, new customer onboarding, customer outreach, etc. Experience Proven experience in residential construction projects from initial design through final inspection in an engineering role Strong background in residential engineering design including foundation design, framing design, windspeed design Knowledge of construction management practices combined with hands-on construction experience in residential settings Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D), Revit, MicroStation, GIS platforms (ArcGIS), Hydrologic modeling tools (HEC), Mathcad, System design software (Water treatment & Wastewater treatment), and project scheduling tools Ability to generate comprehensive technical reports and conduct detailed technical writing for engineering documentation Experience in managing permitting phases involving local authorities and regulatory agencies Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Strong communication skills for effective client engagement and team leadership within multidisciplinary teams Join us to be part of a forward-thinking organization where your expertise will shape the future of residential communities. Pay:
