Licensed Architect -
Client Relations & Design Sales Role Overview:
We are seeking a versatile, client-facing Licensed Architect for Zia Homes building team. In this role, you will serve as the primary design visionary, guiding clients through architectural plan creation, managing blueprint modifications, and strategically consult on high-value structural and aesthetic upgrades to maximize project revenue.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Client Consultation & Design:
Identifies, through consultation, clients' requirements, approximate budget, timetable, and possible needs for future expansion. Determines clients' preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, upgrades and other variables Attempts to identify through collaboration clients' priorities in terms of needs vs. desires. Assists clients in defining their priorities and vision by preparing preliminary sketches of options. Plan & Permit Management Prepares and presents designs, specifications, estimated costs, and proposed construction schedule. Creates detailed plans integrating engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations; presents plans to clients for review and approval. Permit submittal and revisions as needed Modifies new or existing plans as required. Prepares scale drawings and contract requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborates with trades and clients to facilitate the building process to meet clients' specifications. Partner closely with construction superintendents, estimating, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution from contract signing to final build. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Extremely proficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and consultation skills. Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models English and Spanish speaking skills are preferred, but not Spanish is not required .
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture required, Master's degree preferred. Five years of relevant experience preferred. Active board licensure required. Customer service experience Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

$100,000.00 per year
