DESIGNER & PROJECT MANAGER
(ARCHITECTURE/INTERIOR DESIGN) Renovis Design LLC Plano, TX Job Details Part-time $38,000

We work on a wide range of commercial tenant improvement projects — restaurants, retail, office, and industrial spaces — from initial design concept through construction completion. We're a small, hands-on team, which means you'll get real ownership over projects early and often. The Role We're looking for a Designer / Project Manager who's comfortable wearing two hats: shaping the design of a space and then helping see it built. This is a great fit for someone early in their career who has some experience in architecture or interior design AND some exposure to managing construction projects, and who's excited to keep growing in both directions. You don't need a decade of experience — you need a solid foundation, curiosity, and the drive to take on real responsibility. We especially welcome candidates who've trained or worked internationally; different design and construction traditions bring valuable perspective to our team. What You'll Do
  • Support and help lead design development for commercial tenant improvement projects — space planning, finishes, drawings, and coordination with engineering consultants
  • Help manage construction projects from permitting through completion: coordinating with contractors, tracking schedules and budgets, and solving problems that come up on site
  • Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and consultants to keep projects moving smoothly
  • Help prepare permit sets, submittals, and construction documents
  • Visit job sites to monitor progress and quality against the design intent
  • Work closely with our design and construction team to bring projects from concept to reality What We're Looking For
  • A degree in architecture, engineering, interior design or construction management
  • Any amount of work experience in the AEC industry including internships
  • Some experience with construction project management — even informal or early-career exposure is fine
  • Comfortable using design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar)
  • Strong communication skills and comfort coordinating with multiple people and moving parts
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage several priorities at once
  • International design or construction experience is a plus — we value the different perspectives it brings
  • A desire to grow into a broader role as you gain experience with us Why Renovis Design
  • Real project ownership from early on — you won't just be shadowing
  • Exposure to both sides of the business: design and construction
  • A small team where your work is visible and valued
  • Room to grow as the firm grows How to Apply If this sounds like you — even if you don't check every single box — we'd love to hear from you.
Send us your resume and a bit about your design or construction background.
