JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The basic function of the Architectural Drafter is to work under minimal supervision to carry out designs. Applicant must be passionate about residential based projects and appreciate modern design.
DUTIES INCLUDE
(but not limited to): Prepare complete and accurate drawings, layouts and details according to direction provided by other members of the team Prepare construction documents, and city submittals Carry out design/drafting assignments of a moderately complex nature using initiative and independent judgement Prepare layouts, drawings and details according to direction provided by other members of the team Coordinate bidding and construction documents with Construction Team Explore/Research current trends in residential + multi-family projects
EXPERIENCE
Highly Proficient in Revit and Bluebeam Proficient in AutoCAD, Enscape, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp Degree/Certification in Architecture or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 2 years' experience Ability to read and understand drawings of all disciplines Understanding of Residential construction and detailing Knowledge of latest building codes and regulatory requirements General understanding of building detailing + planning Excellent communication, team building, resource management and conflict resolution skills a must Familiarity with commercial construction and code is a plus
