Civil Project Engineer II/III - Roadway Design

Job Description

Job DescriptionTimmons Group is currently seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Roadway Design Transportation Group in Richmond, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful transportation projects and grow your career with a collaborative and innovative team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

Design horizontal alignments and vertical profiles for roadway widening and improvement projectsDevelop 3D models and plans using AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads DesignerCreate visualizations for client and public presentations using 3D softwarePrepare detailed plan sheets and complete project submission packagesPerform roadway and drainage calculations using engineering software and reference materialsAssist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimatesResearch and utilize open-source GIS data for project planningConduct field observations and data collection to support design discussionsStay current with emerging technologies to enhance team capabilitiesParticipate in client and contractor meetings to support project deliverySkill/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field2+ years of experience in transportation civil engineering, specifically roadway designProficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D preferredFamiliarity with VDOT standards and procedures preferredEIT certification preferred
Compensation:
Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $82,000-$115,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.
