This is a hands-on role responsible for taking projects from zoning feasibility and concept design through construction documentation and permitting. The ideal candidate combines strong architectural design skill with the builder-focused understanding of constructability. Key Responsibilities Architectural Design Lead residential architectural development from initial feasibility through permit Create schematic floor plans, building massing, and elevations from scratch Develop high-end, modern single family residential designs aligned with market expectations Maintain design quality and consistency across projects Zoning & Code Research Lead zoning and code research prior to design Technical Production Produce complete construction document sets Work directly in Revit (primary), AutoCAD , or SketchUp Consultant Coordination Coordinate with civil, structural, and other consultants Ensure seamless integration between architectural and engineering disciplines Lead consultant communication through permitting Permitting Manage and oversee permit submittals Respond to plan review comments and coordinate revisions Drive projects efficiently through municipal review cycles Required Qualifications 10+ years of professional residential architectural design experience Strong proficiency in: Revit or AutoCAD SketchUp (for massing and elevation studies) Deep understanding of: Residential construction methods Structural coordination Constructability and detailing Strong communication and coordination skills Robust portfolio required
