Fiber Technician | Up to $28/hr | Full-Time | Montgomery, AL Up to $28/hr based on experience | Full-time | Long-term project | Commercial & Data Center Fiber Work SitePro Solutions is hiring experienced Fiber Technicians for a large telecommunications project in Montgomery, AL. If you have experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, and structured cabling, this is an opportunity to join a long-term commercial project with consistent work and competitive pay. Candidates from Montgomery, Prattville, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Pike Road, Deatsville, and surrounding communities are encouraged to apply if they can reliably commute to the project site. Why You Should Apply Earn up to $28/hr based on experience Full-time, long-term project work Consistent schedule with steady hours Work on commercial construction and data center projects Opportunity to expand your fiber and telecommunications experience Weekly pay and benefits available What You'll Do Install, pull, route, and label fiber optic cable Terminate single-mode and multi-mode fiber, including LC, SC, ST, FC, and MPO/MTP connectors Perform mechanical and fusion fiber splicing Test, certify, and troubleshoot fiber using OTDR and Fluke testing equipment Install and terminate Cat5 and Cat6 cabling as needed Build telecommunications rooms, including racks, patch panels, fiber enclosures, and support hardware Complete work orders, daily reports, and project documentation Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area What You'll Bring 2 to 5 years of fiber optic installation experience preferred Experience with fiber termination, testing, troubleshooting, and splicing Experience using OTDR and Fluke testing equipment Mechanical and fusion splicing experience preferred Data center or commercial construction experience preferred Basic Cat5 and Cat6 copper termination experience Ability to read blueprints and follow TIA/EIA industry standards Reliable transportation, personal hand tools, and basic PPE Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed High school diploma or GED We're interviewing now for this project, so apply today to be considered.
