Job Description
Industrial Electrical Technician
- Talladega, AL Georgia Pacific United States, Alabama, Talladega Aug 12, 2026 Your Job Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Industrial Electrical Technicians to join our Lumber facility in Talladega, AL!
Salary:
Our starting pay is at $32- 44/hr. depending on experience. $ 5.00/hour shift premium for any hours worked Friday
- Sunday (overtime rules apply).
Shift:
Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed. 12-hour rotating shift (rotates every 28 days) The week of orientation will be 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday and 8:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Friday. Regular shift will be assigned after orientation.Shift Hours:
(Day Shift:
6:00am to 6:00pm 2/2/3 Schedule)Night Shift:
Sunday- Wednesday 6pm-6:00 am

What You Will Do- Maintain and troubleshoot Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Allen Bradley Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), electronic overload units, and other types of electrical equipment Troubleshoot and maintain various sizes of switch gear Performing various reactive and preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment. Uses experience to identify and implement improvements.
- Perform both breakdown and planned electrical maintenance
- Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) A minimum of 2 years of industrial electrical experience.
