Matintenance - Combustion Technician Carpenter Technology - 2.8 Tanner, AL Job Details Full-time 2 days ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Vision insurance Qualifications Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility experience Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description The Combustion Technician provides all electrical, instrumentation, and combustion system support for maintenance, operation, quality assurance and control of industrial furnaces. Support includes troubleshooting, inspections, calibrations, adjustments, temperature and accuracy surveys of the furnaces; focusing on safe, reliable, and cost-effective production in a lean manufacturing environment. Conducts furnace temperature uniformity surveys and system accuracy tests. Fabricate and maintain thermocouple test and calibration stands necessary for surveys. (Basic welding skills are a plus.) Maintains furnace related electrical systems including PLCs, HMI, controls, interlocks, as well as furnace combustion systems. Maintains accurate test data to support product qualification and industry certification. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. General Profile Requires knowledge and skills in own function; still acquiring higher level skills. Builds knowledge of the company processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.
