Support includes troubleshooting, inspections, calibrations, adjustments, temperature and accuracy surveys of the furnaces; focusing on safe, reliable, and cost-effective production in a lean manufacturing environment. Conducts furnace temperature uniformity surveys and system accuracy tests. Fabricate and maintain thermocouple test and calibration stands necessary for surveys. (Basic welding skills are a plus.) Maintains furnace related electrical systems including PLCs, HMI, controls, interlocks, as well as furnace combustion systems. Maintains accurate test data to support product qualification and industry certification. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. General Profile Requires knowledge and skills in own function; still acquiring higher level skills. Builds knowledge of the company processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Associate (AS) degree in Electrical, Manufacturing Controls (PLCs) or an equivalent number of years of education and relevant maintenance experience. Minimum of 2 years relevant electrical and/or instrumentation experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs is a plus. Demonstrated ability to read and understand control logic, flow diagrams, instrument loops and P&lDs. Prior burner management system maintenance is a plus.
