Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled OSP Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure and low voltage systems, with hands-on experience in cabling and field service. As a Fiber Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients. Responsibilities Install and maintain fiber optic cabling systems in various environments, including commercial and residential settings. Conduct field service operations to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network infrastructure. Climb ladders and work at heights to install or repair cabling as needed. Collaborate with team members to build and enhance IT infrastructure projects. Test and certify fiber optic installations to ensure compliance with industry standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project status and technical issues. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls. Skills Proficient in electrical systems related to telephone and low voltage applications. Experience with network infrastructure installation. Strong troubleshooting skills for field service operations. Ability to climb and work safely at heights as required by job tasks. Knowledge of cabling techniques and best practices for fiber optic installations. Skilled OSP Fiber Technician to perform fiber splicing and related field work throughout the valley. The OSP Fiber Technician will be responsible for prepping, splicing, and testing fiber optic cables in the field. You should be comfortable working independently, updating as-builts, and safely accessing aerial and underground infrastructure. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
