Aerospace Test Technician Job ID 134550 Job Type Contract Industry Manufacturing Location Phoenix, Arizona, United States Talascend is currently seeking an Aerospace Test Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona. Overview This role involves supporting the testing and troubleshooting of aerospace hardware, contributing to the development of cutting-edge turbo machinery technologies used in military and civilian applications. The technician will assist in various testing phases, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Prepare, scan, and analyze hardware using 3D scan technology. Perform static stress testing, hydrostatic testing, and CG/MOI measurement. Support testing phases: setup, run, tear down. Conduct modal testing, acoustic ring signature testing, electro-dynamic vibration shaker testing, and laser vibrometry testing. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Must be a US citizen due to contractual requirements. Good mechanical aptitude and electrical aptitude is a plus. Ability to work independently without verbal instructions or written procedures. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work. Experience with high-speed data acquisition, strain gages, thermocouples, LVDTs, load cells, accelerometers, and signal conditioning. Experience with 3D scanning, GD&T, vibration shaker control, electro-hydraulic control, basic machine shop functions, and modal testing. Familiarity with RTCA DO-160 and
MIL-STD 810
vibration and shock standards. Practical experience working with engineering equipment. Ability to conceptualize and manipulate 3D objects mentally. Willingness to travel occasionally to support multiple sites and drive test plans forward. Strong work ethic prioritizing safety and data quality. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to make timely decisions, balancing analysis and decisiveness. We thank all applicants for their interest.
