Job Description

Flexible Part-Time Calibration Technician National Calibration Inc. was established in 1985 and is a growing, family-owned
ISO/IEC 17025
accredited calibration laboratory with multiple locations throughout the Southwestern United States. Our Scottsdale, AZ location is looking for a smart, dependable, motivated, hands-on person who enjoys learning how things work. Previous calibration experience is not required. We will train the right person. This is a flexible, variable-hour position of 0-24 hours per week, depending on project and customer needs. It may be a great fit for someone looking for interesting technical work without a traditional full-time schedule. What You'll Do Learn to calibrate electrical, mechanical, and dimensional measurement equipment Use specialized tools and equipment to take precise measurements Record and document calibration results accurately Prepare calibration certificates and related documentation Follow established procedures and quality standards Learn new equipment, processes, and technical concepts as needed What We're Looking For A quick learner who is curious and enjoys figuring things out Good mechanical, electrical, mathematical, or analytical aptitude Strong attention to detail Comfortable working with computers, tools, and technical equipment Dependable and able to work independently Able to carefully follow written procedures Calibration experience is a plus, but not required Schedule Flexible, variable hours — 0-24 hours per week Hours depend on workload and customer needs Weekly availability is generally requested approximately two weeks in advance Physical Requirements This is a hands-on position working with precision measurement equipment.
You should be comfortable:
Working at a bench or workstation for extended periods Standing and moving throughout the lab as needed Handling small tools, instruments, and equipment with accuracy and care Lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for short distances
