This role will support the design, testing, troubleshooting, modification, fabrication, and assembly of complex prototype electromechanical systems and specialized test equipment while also providing leadership and mentorship to newer technicians.

$33.16/hour
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Shift Clearance Requirement:
Active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance required at time of hire; U.S. citizenship required Position Overview As the Senior Advanced Engineering Technician, you'll be responsible for supporting engineering activities involving the design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment. You will also serve as a leader and mentor to newer technicians. You will interpret complex engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics; perform system-level troubleshooting down to the component level; and work from technical documentation and defined plans to conduct testing, checkout, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities also include laying out, building, calibrating, adjusting, installing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, and systems. What You Bring to the
Table:
Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance at time of hire U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of work performed within the facility Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, diagrams, schematics, layouts, specifications, requirements, standards, and practices Ability to understand and work with complex system interfaces Experience performing system-level troubleshooting down to the component level Ability to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting using schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, and defined plans Experience laying out, building, calibrating, adjusting, installing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, and systems Knowledge of specialized technical functions with proficiency in applying and interpreting complex specifications and requirements Ability to understand the implications of technical work and provide applicable solutions
